*sobs* My precious laptop, Mogget, means more to me than my life. (Well not quite, but still.) She's beautiful and very important to me and I obsess over her. Yes, she's female. Yes, I named her Mogget. Deal with it. My Mp3 Player is Arion and my voice recorder is Spikey. But anyway, back to the topic at hand...

Late last night, Wednesday March 25, 2009, at approximately 2:10am, she died on me. The screen went black and the hard drive stopped spinning. But the light was still on meaning she was on... And the wifi light started blinking. Not only was the wifi switch off, but even if it was on, the wifi hasn't worked for about... 7 months now.

I hard-booted her, seeing no alternative after a soft-boot failed. I tried turning her back on... The hard drive spun for a few seconds before stalling out again. Once more, power light and wifi light were the only signs of life within her. Again, I repeated the process, this time getting the disk drive open during her few moments of spin. I inserted a boot disk before shutting her down again. Startup again... Again only black and glowing green...

We're taking Mogget to the computer store tomorrow. Hopefully geek squad will be able to fix her. I'm glad I backed her up completely like a month or two ago. But it's still a pretty big loss. So many pictures I took that I can't get back now... *drysob* Possibly gone forever...

To make matters worse... Mother just handed me the advertisement from the computer store saying which computers are on sale this week... She thinks Mogget is gone forever... I'll prove her wrong! Mogget WILL come back to me!!!! Please, Mogget... Please.....

*sobs* I'm on Mother's laptop at the moment... Mogget is in my lap and I'm rocking gently, holding her tight... Please be alright, my little beauty. You're everything to me... I'm going to go sulk now... Comment with sympathies if you're reading this? Please? I hope Mogget returns to life quickly... Nay, at all... No, positive thoughts... Positive...
